No filter can promise to eliminate every cause of downtime. But there is one element reliable enough to prevent most causes of unscheduled equipment shutdown due to filter failure or premature plugging.
The Dollinger element incorporates the efficient radial finned design which provides the largest filtration area for a given element size. This increases dirt-holding capacity, minimizes pressure drop and results in an extended service life
The filter media support structure utilizes carbon steel or alternatively, stainless steel. The standard element design ensures its integrity up to a differential pressure of 50 psid. Special designs are available for applications which demand higher differential capabilities.
Dollinger offers an extensive range of synthetic and natural fiber filter media suitable for use in most processes. In addition, stainless steel mesh media can be incorporated in the existing element design for more demanding applications. In most instances the Dollinger filter element can be cleaned and reused many times. This feature is especially beneficial in applications having high levels of contaminant.
In the event of changing process conditions following installation, it is possible to interchange elements to vary the degree of filtration.
Selecting the right filter medium depends on specific operating conditions. The TURBO KLEEN media features a graded pore structure, which maximizes dust-holding capacity and extends the time between filter changes, even under high dirt loading conditions. High efficiency ASHRAE/EN tested media maximizes the output of turbo machinery by removing microscopic particles, which can foul and damage compressor blades.
Strong reinforced glass fiber media guarantees reliable filtration, even under high velocity and turbulent operating conditions, with no media shedding. A highly permeable filter media operates at low delta P resulting in improved performance and efficiency of turbo machinery.
The filter frame is a 100% polymeric and lightweight design that’s totally corrosion resistant and disposable by incineration. The pre-mounted, seamless gasket creates a positive seal for superior leak prevention.
The Dollinger Al- .128 two-stage filter/silencer is designed to efficiently remove submicron dust, dire and other airborne contaminants from the atmosphere using two separate stages of panel filter elements – protecting axial and centrifugal compressors and blowers and, at the same time, reducing compressor in let noise.
The Al- 128 is designed to be installed either directly on the compressor or blower inlet, or on remote inlet air piping. Dollinger manufactures 18 standard models, available with capacities up to I 02,000 ml/hr and bottom outlets ranging in size from 150 to 900 mm in diameter. The standard silencing feature provides sound attenuation up to 17.5 dB(A). Larger capacities are available upon request.
